We Love RVA
While we shop the world for our wide assortment of furniture & accessories, our home is in Richmond, Virginia — and we’re quite proud of that distinction.
Libby Hill, a few blocks from our showroom, has the view where Richmond earned its name about 300 years ago. Looking at the James River flowing languidly towards the Chesapeake, aristocrat and landowner William Byrd II remarked that it reminded him of view of Richmond upon Thames in England.
A short walk from Libby Hill will find you in front of St. John’s Church, where Patrick Henry famously demanded, “Give me Liberty or Give me Death!”
One block from LaDiff is where Thomas Jefferson’s Statute of Religious Freedom – a precursor to our first amendment rights – was passed by the Virginia General Assembly.
And a quick drive will take you to the galleries of the nationally acclaimed Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (or VMFA), the Virginia Historical Society, the Valentine Museum of Richmond’s history, the Edgar Allen Poe Museum, and many more.
Richmond is a town full of parks, historic sites, art, theater & culture, and an amazing food scene.
We are also a city filled with talented makers, doers, and entrepreneurs. That’s why we’re active supporters of Think. Shop. Buy. Local. This #LOYALTOLOCAL movement reminds all of us to think about our local communities before we shop, and, whenever possible, to buy local.
